Former CMD, NSIC & Director, External Affairs, Power2SME Pvt. Ltd.
Dr. H.P. Kumar is Director External Affairs at Power2SME and he is spearheading the organization’s objective of building alliance network in the industry. Dr. Kumar will design innovative programmes and framework to enhance Power2SME’s value proposition for SMEs, Suppliers and financial institutions. With rich experience in leading successful and profitable campaigns to benefit SMEs, Dr. Kumar comes with deep knowledge of SME market. Dr. Kumar has extensive experience in dealing with promotion, development and financing of MSMEs, exports and other small & large projects. Prior to joining Power2SME. He was the Chairman-cum-Managing Director of NSIC (National Small Industries Corporation), a govt. of India enterprise engaged in development and financing of SMEs in India. Under his leadership, NSIC was able to achieve a turnover of 17400 crores and became a dividend paying entity with an excellent MOU rating continuously for 7 years, a spectacular shift, from a loss making CPSU prior to his successful tenure.

Praveen Khandelwal, the National Secretary General of the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) , is often, described by the media as “a man of masses who is always alert in fighting the cause of a common man particularly of the business community of India.
He enjoyed reputation of a visionary leader gifted with organizational capacity and oratory skills carrying conviction with masses. He is a tech savvy person who makes optimum use of modern technology and communication tools to remain in constant touch with people. He has led many all India movements with cooperation of his talented and dedicated colleagues on several important issues of traders and non corporate sector.
Currently he is strongly advocating the cause of trading community pertaining to Need of a Financial Architecture For Non Corporate Sector of India, Rules & Regulations for E Commerce Business in Country, Goods & Service Tax (GST) Direct Tax Code (DTC), The Food Safety & Standards Act, Delhi Rent Act, among other core issues.
He is a prolific writer on many issues including Direct & Indirect Taxation, Financial Empowerment, Upgradation & Modernisation of Indian Retail Trade, Skill Development, Empowerment of Non Corporate Sector, Need of a National Trade Policy for Retail Trade, E Governance to M Governance, etc.
