In her current role, she is leading a team of analysts who are primarily responsible for delivering various standardised and customized offerings like SME Gradings, Due Diligence, Supply Chain Evaluations, Assessments of Micro-Finance Institutes, Financial Health Assessments, etc. She is actively involved in engaging with institutional clientele and various government agencies. Dr. H.P. Kumar is Director External Affairs at Power2SME and he is spearheading the organization’s objective of building alliance network in the industry. Dr. Kumar will design innovative programmes and framework to enhance Power2SME’s value proposition for SMEs, Suppliers and financial institutions. With rich experience in leading successful and profitable campaigns to benefit SMEs, Dr. Kumar comes with deep knowledge of SME market. Dr. Kumar has extensive experience in dealing with promotion, development and financing of MSMEs, exports and other small & large projects. Prior to joining Power2SME. He was the Chairman-cum-Managing Director of NSIC (National Small Industries Corporation), a govt. of India enterprise engaged in development and financing of SMEs in India. Under his leadership, NSIC was able to achieve a turnover of 17400 crores and became a dividend paying entity with an excellent MOU rating continuously for 7 years, a spectacular shift, from a loss making CPSU prior to his successful tenure.

Bharat is an IIM-A alumnus, where he specialized in the areas of finance and systems (including IT). He is also a CA. He used to enjoy playing cricket during his school and college days. He also has numerous prestigious academic achievements to his credit.
He brings in more than 28 years of experience in stakeholder management, financial management across geographies and different businesses, and fund raising with multinational corporations.
He had successful stints with Sun Gumberg (a start-up joint venture) handling India and overseas operations, Royal Dutch Shell Group and its joint venture with Total of France, Vedanta Group, General Motors and its group companies, and the Birla Group. He also had a stint with General Motors’ Asia Pacific HQ in Singapore as Regional Director- Corporate Finance and Treasury where he was responsible for Asia-Pac operations.
