Dr. H.P. Kumar is Director External Affairs at Power2SME and he is spearheading the organization’s objective of building alliance network in the industry. Dr. Kumar will design innovative programmes and framework to enhance Power2SME’s value proposition for SMEs, Suppliers and financial institutions. With rich experience in leading successful and profitable campaigns to benefit SMEs, Dr. Kumar comes with deep knowledge of SME market. Dr. Kumar has extensive experience in dealing with promotion, development and financing of MSMEs, exports and other small & large projects. Prior to joining Power2SME. He was the Chairman-cum-Managing Director of NSIC (National Small Industries Corporation), a govt. of India enterprise engaged in development and financing of SMEs in India. Under his leadership, NSIC was able to achieve a turnover of 17400 crores and became a dividend paying entity with an excellent MOU rating continuously for 7 years, a spectacular shift, from a loss making CPSU prior to his successful tenure.

Prior to joining Sofcon Systems, he held various prominent positions including Country Manager, India at Prosoft Technology, Industry Business Manager, Rockwell Automation India Pvt Ltd amongst many others.

Arvind is the CEO – Components Division at M/s Amber enterprises India Ltd, having 15 plants spread over 8 locations across India primarily for manufacturing of parts for Home Appliances and growing into new industries like automotive, Light Engg (Tools), Telecom etc. He has held prominent positions in his career including as a Manufacturing Head of multilocational plants in Orient Electric Ltd, a CK Birla group, Executive Director of World’s largest bicycle makers – Hero Cycles Ltd, till 2016 and served as a Flight Lieutenant in the Indian Air Force till 1994.

With extensive experience in consulting, capacity building, cluster development, skills and training, implementation support and project management, she has been instrumental in facilitating MSMEs market linkages, institutional strengthening, skill development, policy advisory, cluster development, investment promotion, investment facilitation and enabling IT infrastructure for fast tracking industrial approvals to facilitate private investment in infrastructure development. She has worked with multiple ministries in Government of India and State Governments of Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and has also worked with IFIs (ADB, World Bank, ILO and DFID) in achieving their agenda of increasing employment and job creation
